2024 GMC Acadia | Redesign, Ordering, & Updates

What We Know So Far

The GMC Acadia returns for the 2024 model year with some serious updates. This fan-favorite SUV has been dominating the market since its conception in 2007, and the recently announced 2024 model continues to push the envelope and what is possible in the three-row SUV segment.

The 2024 GMC Acadia has been redesigned inside and out for 2024, so as you can imagine, the list of changes is close to endless. However, here is a list of some highlights based on what information we have so far.

2024 GMC Acadia Key Changes & Updates

  • The 2024 GMC Acadia is bigger than its former self growing by 8.4 inches (wheelbase) and 10.6 inches (overall length)
  • Considerably more cargo space than in prior years
  • Roomier interior, with a standard vertical 15-inch touchscreen plus an 11-inch diagonal driver information center
  • Potent 328-horsepower turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine powering all trim levels
  • Towing capability of up to 5,000 pounds
  • Available Super Cruise technology

Trim Levels

The 2024 GMC Acadia will be offered in 4 distinct trim levels, each purposely equipped to set itself apart from the pack.

  • Elevation: Starting off the exciting lineup of trims for 2024 is the Elevation. The Elevation features seating for 8 people, over 15 active safety and driver assistance technologies, a potent 328 horsepower turbocharged engine, and a whopping 15-inch diagonal infotainment system plus an 11-inch diagonal driver information center.
  • Elevation Premium: The Elevation Premium takes the Elevation trim, and all its goodies, to the next level. Second-row flat-folding captain’s chairs come standard, with Smart Slide technology. You also get some classy 20-inch aluminum finished wheels and a bumping Bose Premium 12-speaker audio system. This trim will also be able to be optioned with GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driving technology.
  • AT4: Similar to other models in GMC’s lineup, the AT4 adds an offroad-capable trim to the lineup. Some highlights of this addition to the trim lineup are an active torque control AWD system, off-road suspension, 18-inch gloss black wheels with all-terrain tires, lifted ride height, and exclusive exterior and interior accents.
  • Denali: The Denali trim is another staple of GMC vehicles, offering a top-of-the-line trim with no features barred. Out of the many features of the Denali, some of the standout ones include a unique grille with matching exterior and interior accents, premium leather first and second-row seats, a configurable 8-inch head-up display, 20-inch aluminum wheels, and second and third-row power folding seats.

Exterior

The 2024 GMC Acadia has undergone some massive changes over its former self, the most notable of which is its size. The 2024 Acadia has grown a whopping 10.6 inches overall, measuring 204 inches from front to rear. This mid-size SUV is now only a half-foot shorter than the full-size GMC Yukon, and the two GMC SUVs now share the same wheelbase of 120.9 inches. Aside from the size difference, the exterior of the 2024 Acadia has been fully redesigned. The result of this is a sophisticated exterior design, that has its own unique differences between trim levels. The AT4 trim gives off some serious offroading vibes, with its signature red tow hooks, and skid plates. The Denali creates a luxurious exterior essence with its signature grille and trim accents, as well as its available 22-inch aluminum wheels.

Interior and Technology

The result of this growth spurt is an overall roomier interior, which will create a more enjoyable experience for all eight passengers on board the 2024 Acadia. Beyond just passenger space, the all-new Acadia has an undeniable increase in cargo area. GMC states the cargo space has increased 24% over the 2023 Acadia, which as one can imagine, makes an enormous difference in practicality. The 2024 GMC Acadia is also poised to offer the most front legroom in its class, another major plus for this brand-new iteration of a long-time player in the SUV segment.

As far as technology goes, the 2024 Acadia will be packed to the brim with the latest class-leading features, creating an even more intuitive driving experience. Leading these changes is an 11-inch diagonal digital driver infotainment center that is paired with another 15-inch vertical touchscreen located to the right of the driver. The 2024 Acadia will also have all the standout features available with other GMC vehicles such as hands-free Super Cruise technology and an 8″ diagonal head-up display.

As with all GMC vehicles, the all-new Acadia will prioritize driver and passenger safety, coming standard with 15 safety and driver-assistance features.

Powertrain

All 4 trim levels of the 2024 GMC Acadia will be powered by a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine with a GM‐estimated 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque. This is a substantial increase over the power figures of the 2023 Acadia, which topped out at 310 horsepower in its highest engine option. This powerful turbocharged engine will be paired with a smooth-shifting 8-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive will be available on all trim levels as well, perfect for any driver in the Roseville, Minnesota area.
