What’s New for 2027

More power, more choices

The 2027 Sierra 1500 offers four powertrains; all paired with a 10-speed automatic:

GMC calls the TurboMax’s torque best in class for a standard engine, and the 6.6L V8 the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 in its class. With the available 34-gallon tank, the Duramax diesel can go more than 900 highway miles on a tank. That’s enough for a round trip to the Boundary Waters with fuel to spare.

Built for boats, campers and cabin weekends

• Up to 13,500 lbs. of towing with the 5.7L V8
• Up to 2,320 lbs. of payload (Regular Cab, standard bed, RWD)
• MultiPro Tailgate with 4 new 250-lb. tie-downs, for a class-leading 16 total
• Up to 19 available camera views, including first-in-class front and rear underbody cameras with a wash function
• Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance on compatible roads, now with trailering capability

A cabin that feels brand new

The interior is fully redesigned. It has more than 60 inches of combined digital displays, a 16.3-inch infotainment screen, and a Sierra-first MultiPro Center Console. Upper trims add a 15-inch multicolor Head-Up Display and an 11.5-inch front passenger display.
